Lewis Post & Beam House
Challenged with a tight budget this renovation consisted of an all new floor plan along with an updated façade and front entrance. This modest 2800 square foot MCM classic was constructed in 1957 by an Eichler-esque Developer named Bob Lewis. He built and designed hundreds of these timeless gems using all local natural material, Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar. The Green Roof by Xeroflor was Surfside’s initial venture with this product, incorporating all it’s value added features into this renovation/addition, a big success. End results were subtle yet touchstone upgrades to a home that was already designed perfectly for the Pacific Northwest climate. Thank you Mr. Lewis for the large overhangs and 50’ run of southerly facing windows… let the natural light flow in and the rain stay out.
